According to Convicted killer Ashley Graham's Facebook page, being in prison is akin to being on vacation.
Serving life at HMP Lindholme in South Yorkshire for stabbing a man through the heart, the 27-year-old Graham regularly updates his Facebook status with a smuggled cell phone.
In one update, he wrote: "HMP Holiday’s a place where men can come for a nice relaxin break from their moanin women and crying kids. No stress just rest."
His friends couldn't agree more. Take Graeme Crockett, for example, who responded: "Loving the status. Could do wid a nice relaxing break in HMP Ranby or Sunbury again."
With game rooms, TVs, DVDs, and computers, HMP Lindholme sounds like a college dorm, except better because it's free and there's no homework involved.
This is what happens when you're too polite. You end up with prisons that are more like frat houses than penitentiary wards. With so many Britons losing their jobs, what's to keep these recently unemployed from simply waiting out the economic crisis in cozy prison cells? Nothing, because changing the way prisons are run to actually make them unappealing to criminals is a lot of work and would most definitely interrupt tea-time.
