Letter To The ICBR: Re: Proud To Be British

06.15.2007

Hello,

I take great offence to your website. You appear to be a gaggle of narrow minded, feculent, racists with far too much time on hands and with nothing better to do than to point the finger of blame away from yourselves, a nation run by a military happy dunce following in he's father's warmongering footsteps.

If you are attempting to hold the modern British public, and indeed it's government, responsible for our history, your efforts will indeed prove futile. Do you hold modern day Germany responsible for the execution of millions of Jews, gyspies and so forth? Have you forgotten the actions of America at the end of WW2?... Namely the killing and maiming of hundreds of thousands of Japanese when the A-Bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Have you paid compensation for their suffering? Am i wrong to believe that the 2nd Iraq War was declared after terrorists flew planes into the World Trade Centre and that England have since suffered at the hands of these same terrorist groups for standing by America in their vain attempt to abolishment world terrorism.

If Steven A. Grasse is such an expect on British cultural understanding, why does he continually have trouble differentiating between Britain and England? Also The British Monarchy has not been in governmental control for over at least a hundred years and they have no power in the running of our
country. Do your homework.

Bad inventions. Comical! Bad hygiene and Black Plague cannot ever be referred to as inventions, besides the origins of the Black Plague almost certainly stems back to the Far East and was introduced to Britain by Mongolian traders. Machine guns?! I argue that guns don't kill people, people do, and it certainly doesn't mention the right to "bare arms" (firearms) in British
law. Who abolished slavery? Britain. Who gave the women the right to vote? Britain.

Your organisation is based on the ramblings of one man, backed only by opinion and certainly not by fact. I have never had an issue with the American people, nor your country, and still believe this to be the view of no more than a handful of ill-informed people. I think i won't be last person to rubbish your organisations ideals, and indeed it values.

Your proudly,
Peter E.Carter, Englishman
