The International Coalition For British Reparations Speaks Out About The Rhodes Scholarship

Philadelphia, PA – February 2, 2007 – The International Coalition for British Reparations, the grassroots organization dedicated to seeking compensation from the British empire for atrocities committed over the past 500 years, is publicly speaking out about the Rhodes Scholarship Program.

The scholarship, which has been awarded to dozens of U.S. senators, cabinet members, and Supreme Court Justices, appears to serve as a great educational initiative that upholds positive Angelo-American relations. But the ICBR has uncovered the truth behind the entire program.

Few people know the real story about Cecil Rhodes, for whom the scholarship is named. Rhodes sucked the diamonds out of Africa, seized lands to which he had no deeds and committed a series of massacres against the native hordes that were almost genocidal in their intensity. On top of that, he was an insufferable racist, famously boasting that “we” (the white English) “are the finest race in the world, and the more of the world we inhabit, the better it is for the human race.”

By offering the scholarships, Rhodes intention was to bring bright Americans back into the imperial fold. “Why should we not form a secret society,” he wrote, “with but one objective: the furtherance of the British Empire and the bringing of the whole uncivilized world under British rule for the recovery of the United States.”

The International Coalition for British Reparations asks that all Rhodes Scholarships be publicly renounced. The organization is looking first to former President Bill Clinton to kick off the campaign to educate the masses and take back the world from the British tyrants.
