Britain No Longer Amongst The 20 Best Countries To Live In

10.05.2009 - Britain slips out of top 20 best countries to live in

Reaching as high as number 10 in 1990, England's rank amongst the top 20 countries to live in has been on a downward spiral ever since. The UN, which conducts the survey, left England out of the list altogether this year, citing financial instability, below average education, and short life expectancy as reasons. In other words, booze is England's downfall--they spend all their money on beer, drink themselves dumb, and then rot their livers before reaching puberty.

Meanwhile, the United States is sitting comfortably at the 13th spot, above Spain, Austria and Italy.

Here are the top 20 countries to live in according to the UN:

1. Norway

2. Australia

3. Iceland

4. Canada

5. Ireland

6. Netherlands

7. Sweden

8. France

9. Switzerland

10. Japan

11. Luxembourg

12. Finland

13. United States

14. Austria

15. Spain

16. Denmark

17. Belgium

18. Italy

19. Liechtenstein

20. New Zealand
